Responsibilities
  • Perform large volumes of data pre-processing that involves data transformation as well as data cleaning.
  • Explore new technologies, analytic solutions, and use depths of knowledge statistics and various machine learning tools to forecast and classify patterns in the data.
  • Increase the performance and accuracy of machine learning algorithms through fine-tuning and further performance optimisation.
  • Liaise and work closely with co-workers and clients to elucidate the requirements for each task.
  • Understand the requirements of the company and formulate questions that need to be addressed.

Requirements
  • At least 1-year experience as a Data Engineer/Data Analyst.
  • Able to write modular, well-tested, and maintainable code.
  • Familiar with skills in:
    • Python, Hadoop, Spark, and other ML tools.
    • Shell Script, Linux Configuration.
    • MySQL, NoSQL.
  • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra).
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Able to work well in a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Committed to deliver projects on time.
